![]() ![]() I hope that eases your mind a little bit. The measurements of length can just as easily be off. They can off plus or minus a whole 1 1/2 pounds which is significant at that size. So what I'm saying is, is that the ultrasound measurements can EASILY be off. You should get the ultrasound done before 32 weeks. Providers use abdominal ultrasounds after about 12 weeks of pregnancy. It's recommended that you wait until after 26 weeks, as this is when fat begins to form in a baby's face. You want to make sure you get your ultrasound in during a time in pregnancy where good pictures are more likely. she was going to try for a vbac but they had her do a c section instead b/c of the possible risk w baby's size. 1 Schedule the ultrasound for the right time in pregnancy. After the birth, your baby will be able to focus on your face, when youre around 20 to 25cm away. Their vision will continue to develop inside and outside the uterus (womb). Thats approximately the size of a cabbage. I also have a friend who was told her baby was HUGE.10+ lbs. Your baby, or foetus, is around 39.9cm long from head to heel. She a happy healthy 19 mo old now & looks absolutely beautiful & perfect. She is petite & only about the 10th percentile for height, but we have a lot of very short people on both sides so it's not a big surprise. At least it doesn't look like it in proportion to the rest of her body. She didn't have abnormally short arms either. Well she came out a 7lb11oz perfect little girl. My doctor was a bit concerned & we checked the measurements again right at the end (I think 38/39 weeks) & they still seemed small/short. Immediately I thought, "oh no! I'm having a t-Rex baby!" Lol. I don't Remember the exact measurements, but when I was nearing the end, after 32 weeks, I had an ultrasound & they told me that she was measuring very small & that her arms were measuring at least a couple weeks earlier than the rest of her. ![]()
